I thought I should do a review on what I think of the new expansion set, and what I've seen from the trailer.
First of all, bringing Deathwing back, AWESOME IDEA. I think that was one of my favorite stages when my dad played Warcraft II when I was little.
The expansion back so far looks great. The idea of a monster coming back after thousands of years is commonly used, but it's done well in this situation, since it is not common knowledge to most (i.e, if someone had not played the previous games, or researched events in previous games, they would not have heard of Deathwing). Normally, the effects of a monster such as this is not so catastrophic. The creature lays in wait in their lair, and gathers followers to gain power, but is then defeated by the hero. In this case, the creature DESTROYS most of the land, forcing different factions to fight over land more than before.
The thing I really like about the factions fighting, is that most that are in Northrend, are oblivious to this. Because we are so focused on the Lich King, the return of Deathwing comes as a surprise. Two new races are befriended by each faction, the goblins for the Horde, and the worgen for the Alliance.
The backstory for the goblins is, in my opinion, great. It's new, pretty interesting, and shows how the goblins never change, no matter where they are. Though there is something new to where they live this time, on the island Kezan. There is a volcano.
Volcanoes are not common things in WoW, unless you are in the crater, or places like Burning Steppes, and even those are very small ones, that cause no damage, and are not mentioned.
The worgens are also fairly interesting, thought it is following the old werewolf legends pretty closely. I DO, however, enjoy the fact that their old allies come in to rescue them from the undead.
Contrariwise to that, there are also some things that made me "Whut."
There are many new class and race combinations, including taurens becoming PALADINS.
Whut.
It just didn't appeal to me.
It really didn't make sense.
The only race that can currently be a paladin on the horde side, are the blood elves, who I'm fairly sure do not interact with the tauren, much, so it doesn't make to sense to me that the taurens would decide to become paladins. Another one that didn't make much sense was dwarves becoming shamans.
However, races like orcs and dwarves being able to become mages, DOES make sense.
They both coincide with a race that HAS mages (trolls for orcs, gnomes for dwarvers), and the same with gnomes becoming priests, trolls becoming druids (the orcs are strongly allied with the tauren), night elves becoming mages (strongly allied with humans), and humans becoming hunters (allied with dwarves, and night elves).
Extra things I'm excited about:
The new archaeology profession
Flying mounts in Kalimdor and Easter Kingdoms
THE WHIRLPOOL FFFFF *shot*
And a few other things you'll see in the trailer :3

(Will update this with more stuff another time)
UPDATE 12/14:
I forgot to include a rant about the new dungeons! Ohmygod~!
The new dungeons look gorgeous. The crystals, the underground... it reminds me of "Old Ironforge" but with brighter colors, and new things we haven't seen before (or have, depending on various things.)
They also look like they will actually BE A CHALLENGE.
I do hope there are puzzles, perhaps, or quests involving gratuitous rituals, just for fun ;].
There is one more thing I'll mention in this update...
FFFFFFF THE LAND.
I know, I know... I ranted about the land being torn apart, but what I didn't mention, was the land THRIVING.
Places such as Desolace are being transformed into thriving swamplands, with clear skies and great bodies of water. I was amazed at the transformation in the trailer.
